D HONOUR RIDDIM (SOCA) – GMS PRODUCTIONS 2019
D Honour Overview
In 2019, D Honour Riddim became one of the most popular soca rhythms during carnival season. Produced by GMS Productions, this riddim was heard everywhere—from parade trucks to big stage shows. The beat was energetic and easy to dance to, making it a favorite for both artists and fans. What made D Honour Riddim special was how it blended soca with hints of other Caribbean styles. The rhythm had strong drums and catchy melodies, drawing people in. This allowed different artists to bring their own flavor to the tracks. David Rudder, known for his legendary song “Bahia Girl,” brought his powerful voice to “Mix It And Bring It.” His experience in soca shined through, giving the riddim a classic touch. MX Prime, who led the group Ultimate Rejects to success with “Full Extreme” in 2017, delivered “All Saints.” His performance added high energy, perfect for carnival crowds. Mistah Shak’s “J'ouvert Demon” gave the riddim a raw, festive feel, capturing the spirit of early morning carnival celebrations. Incredible Myron B and Roaring Lion both performed “D Bacchanal Band,” each bringing their unique style to the same track. This showed the riddim’s flexibility and wide appeal. Other songs like “Santimanitay” by Lord Relator and 3 Powers also stood out, adding more voices and styles to the project. GMS Productions played an important role by creating a riddim that united different artists and sounds.
