CORNERSTONE RIDDIM produced by XANDOR RECORDS / SOUND DOMAIN STUDIO 2013
Cornerstone Overview
In 2013, a group of young reggae singers came together in the studio to record over a roots riddim that would soon be known across the islands. The riddim was created at SOUND DOMAIN STUDIO, under the direction of XANDOR RECORDS. The producer wanted to capture the feeling of classic reggae, but also make it fresh for a new generation. The culture arranger worked closely with the musicians, guiding the sound and making sure the message stayed strong and positive. XANDOR RECORDS is known for working with conscious reggae artists and helping to bring new talent to the scene. The label has produced several projects that highlight social issues and culture, making it respected in the Caribbean music industry. On this riddim, Ras Brando brought his song "I Need You," showing his smooth voice and heartfelt lyrics. Benjaminz stood out with "Tell Me When," a track that got attention for its catchy hook and clear message. Benjaminz is also known for his work with other young artists and has performed at major reggae festivals. Kingsley Anowi teamed up with Benjaminz for "Let Me," a song that mixes roots and modern styles. Benjaminz - Let Me also delivered a version called "Let Me," adding another layer to the project. Natural Mistic joined in with "Politician," bringing sharp lyrics about real-life struggles.
