Cool Out Riddim (2012) – Good Good Productions

Cool Out Riddim arrived in January 2012 from Good Good Productions, the Montego Bay camp led by Zum. The label had already built a reputation for clean, radio-ready reggae and dancehall projects, and this one sits neatly in that lane: a modern roots-leaning juggling with polished drum programming, warm bass, and an easy mid-tempo sway that gives the singers room to stretch out. It also landed through 21st Hapilos Digital, which helped push the release beyond Jamaica and into the wider digital reggae market.

The lineup mixes veterans and younger voices in a way that gives the riddim its shape. Bounty Killer’s “Thine Will Be Done” brings a stern, prayerful edge, while Luciano’s “We Got All Rights” and Sizzla’s “Take D World” and “U Can Make It (Set U Plan)” push the conscious side harder. Chris Martin adds smoother romantic material with “Link Pon U Friend” and “Love U 4 Ever, ” and George Nooks fits naturally with the same feel on “Loving U. ” Jah Vinci’s “Turn A Blind Eye” adds a more plaintive tone, while Ghost’s “So Lonely” and D’Angel’s “Mothers Love” keep the subject matter grounded in relationship and family themes. The instrumental closes the package and underlines how much care went into the groove itself.
