The Conception Riddim comes off lean and eager, with that tight early-2010s dancehall snap that leaves room for the voices to cut through. Adijaheim Records lines up a strong little Gaza-heavy set here, and the pairing of Popcaan’s “Different” with Vybz Kartel’s “Making A Baby” gives the rhythm its sharpest pull, while Shawn Storm and Gaza Slim keep the mood restless and streetwise.
