Island Shak Entertainment keeps Coastline Riddim lean and to the point, which is a nice change from the bigger soca packages the label would go on to mount later. Issued in 2019, it pairs just two cuts, TwiXx’s “On Di Road” and ShadyLane’s “More, ” so there’s no filler to hide behind and no attempt to stretch the concept past its natural length. That makes the title feel apt: this is a bright, coastal-minded soca groove with enough room for each singer to breathe. TwiXx opens the set with the road-ready one, while ShadyLane closes it out, and the sequencing feels deliberate, like Island Shak wanted the riddim to play more like a compact showcase than a crowded compilation.
