Niyahfyah Records was already in a productive groove in early 2021, and Coast Riddim sits neatly alongside that run with a compact three-track dancehall set that keeps the focus on the songs rather than any extra frills. Ras Victory’s “Dangerous” has the sharper bite of the two vocal cuts, while Red Lion a. k. a. Redda Fella counters with “My Love, ” riding the same tight, lean groove that gives the project its shape. The instrumental is listed as “Coat Riddim, ” a small typo in the tracklist that doesn’t hide how minimal the release is: two vocals and the backing track, all clocking in at just about eight minutes.
