Callaloo Bed Riddim – Reggae Library

Callaloo Bed Riddim is Reggae Library’s 2024 dancehall reworking of a familiar name, trimmed here to just three remastered cuts from Buju Banton, Bounty Killer, and Elephant Man. The lineup pairs Buju’s Want U Gal with Bounty Killer’s No Tomorrow and Elephant Man’s Wave Dance, giving the riddim a heavyweight all-star feel even in short form. Reggae Library keeps the project tight and direct, with the remasters pushing the energy of each tune while preserving the original dancehall flavour. The release also nods to the older Callaloo Bed name associated with the West Kingston/Bounty Killer circle, but this version stands on its own as a compact 2024 showcase for three of the genre’s most recognizable voices.
