Ddenn Records’ Dead Weight Riddim arrived in 2022 as a six-song dancehall set with seven artists, led by Tek and Blak Ryno on Big Toys and Prophet Benjamin on D Inna Man. Jay Stormkinging’s Mask Off, Trinisteam’s Gee’S Up and Lethal’s Playlist help round out a compact project that keeps the focus on gritty, current dancehall energy. The Ddenn Team also closes things out with the title cut, giving the riddim its own signature track and tying the whole release together.
