BUBBLE RIDDIM produced by XTERMINATOR PRODUCTIONS 2006
Bubble Overview
Back in 2006, the Bubble Riddim compilation brought something special to dancehall. It mixed hard-hitting deejay tracks with smooth singing, giving fans a bit of everything. The bashment flow on this album really stood out compared to other compilations from that time. While some dancehall albums were heavy on just one style—either all hardcore or all mellow—Bubble Riddim blended both. This made it easy for everyone to find a track they liked. General Degree’s “Bubble She A Bubble” is a good example. General Degree is known for catchy songs like “Traffic Blocking,” and here, his style is playful and sharp. Then you have Nicka British with “School Girl.” Her vocals bring a different, softer energy, showing how the compilation balanced out the rough and the smooth. Sizzla is on “Great Man of Honer.” Sizzla is famous worldwide, with over 50 albums and hits like “Thank You Mama.” His song on this riddim is full of energy and message, just like his best work. The album also includes “Bubble” by Version, which lets the rhythm shine on its own. Behind the scenes, XTERMINATOR PRODUCTIONS made it all happen. This label, started by Philip “Fatis” Burrell, is known for working with big names in reggae and dancehall, including Sizzla. The sound engineer played a big part too, making sure every vocal and beat sounded clear and strong. Looking back, the bashment flow on Bubble Riddim helped keep dancehall fresh and exciting in 2006.
