Bloodclaat Riddim – Ghetto Youths International

In 2013, when dancehall was leaning hard into gritty one-riddim sets and sharper street talk, Ghetto Youths International came through with Bloodclaat Riddim, a compact five-song package that keeps the pressure on without dragging it out. The setup is sharp: Damian Marley and Sean Diedrick are credited on the project, and that matters because the rhythm has the kind of taut, militant bounce you’d expect from that camp. Aidonia’s “My Life Bless” and Agent Sasco’s “King Of The Jungle” give the set its steadiest muscle, while Frisco Kid and Wayne Marshall push the title-word angle with the sort of cheeky, blunt patter that made these midsize dancehall compilations hit.
