BITCLUB RIDDIM (ZIMDANCEHALL) – CHILLSPOT RECORDS 2019

2019’s Bitclub Riddim from Chillspot Records is a Zimdancehall set with a strong local lineup that includes Enzo Ishall’s Mwari Muriko, Nutty O’s Baby Wangu, Hwinza’s Let Me Go, and Kadhija’s Come See, alongside cuts from Makangula, Bobby From Tanza, Cantolman, Sheara Di Man, Uncle Epatan, and others. The release was put together under the Chillspot banner, the Zimbabwean production house co-founded by Levels and Fantan, and it dropped in late May 2019 as a busy various-artist package with 16 tracks in total. Its blend of street-facing hooks and melodic singjay energy makes it one of those riddims that reflects the way Zimdancehall was pushing its own sound at the time.
