Behold Riddim – Roots Cooperation

Quick pull of roots and dub energy, Behold Riddim lands as a compact four-track set from Roots Cooperation with Anthony Johnson’s “Behold” leading the way in a measured, reverent style before Paco Ten takes it deeper on “Beholdub. ” U-Brown’s “Work Fi U Own” and Billyman’s “Work Fi U Dub” keep the version-side spirit alive, so the project feels less like a throwaway one-riddim drop and more like a small, focused exercise in classic reggae construction. Roots Cooperation, the South Italy label out of Matera, has a habit of backing artists who know how to ride a heavyweight groove, and here the arrangement leaves plenty of room for each voice to breathe. Released in April 2021, it’s a neat little slice of modern roots with a dub cut tucked in, just as it should be.
