Beautiful Riddim – Dnyce Muzic

Dnyce Muzic’s 2017 Beautiful Riddim lands in that rootsy, message-heavy pocket where the vocals do most of the talking, and the label keeps the sound moving at a warm mid-tempo pace. Across seven cuts, the lineup leans into uplift and struggle themes: Choosen’s “Never Give Up” and Anisley King’s “Get Up Stand Up” set the tone early, while Lisa Voice Banton’s “Struggle Is Real” brings the harder edge of the set into focus. There’s a personal touch too, with Dnyce stepping out twice on “So High” and “My Arms Again, ” which adds a little continuity around the guest singers. The instrumental closes things out cleanly, but the sharpest moment comes from Sharee’s “My Love, ” where the riddim opens up just enough for the vocal to sit right in the pocket.
