BAR MITZVAH RIDDIM produced by SKATTA PRODUCTIONS 2011
Bar Mitzvah Overview
In 2011, the Bar Mitzvah Riddim became a favorite at island parties and Carnival parades. This soca project stood out because of its lively sound and festive energy. While many Carnival releases that year focused on fast-paced beats and electronic touches, Bar Mitzvah Riddim kept a strong Caribbean feeling with real instruments and joyful melodies. Artists like Chino, Elephant Man, and Motion brought their own style to the riddim. Chino’s track, Fi Di Gyal Dem, added smooth vocals and catchy lyrics. Chino is well known for his hit song “From Mawning (Never Change),” which was popular on reggae charts. Elephant Man, with his song Calling, brought his usual high energy. Elephant Man is famous for songs like “Pon De River, Pon De Bank,” which became a global dancehall anthem. Motion’s Eye Offa Mi also added to the mix with a strong performance. SKATTA PRODUCTIONS, the producer behind the riddim, played an important role. Skatta Burrell, the founder, is known for producing the famous “Coolie Dance” riddim in 2003, which was a big hit in dancehall and soca. His skill in blending different sounds helped make Bar Mitzvah Riddim special. This project captured the true feeling of Carnival in 2011. It brought people together with music perfect for dancing, celebrating, and enjoying the festival season.
