Bartley’s music career commenced at the age of 16. In 2013, he got well known in Jamaica with a progression of singles. His live shows have once in a while raised questions as his fans were trying to get to understand him better. For one reason or another, he has had bottles thrown at him 2 years in a row, 2015 and 2016. He got known for his unmistakable look, with blanched skin, fair dreadlocks, and clearly inked eyes, which provoked others to stick to this same pattern, with Brooklyn rapper Mace who was admitted to hospital after his eye got infected. It was then discovered that Alkaline accomplished his look by utilizing contact lenses. New Level Unlocked, his 1st album was released by DJ Frass Records in 2016 and it proceeded to top the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart in that April and he made it as the 1st DJ on the same chart for 5 years. Despite the security setbacks for his UK tour that same year, many of his singles were smashing hits likeĀ “Champion Boy”, “After All”, “Block and Delete”, “Formula”, “12 PM (Living Good)”, and “City.” Alkaline has worked with various artists and collabos, he featured on a good number of tracks like Shaggy’s “That Love.” His fans are impressed by his current 2020 music videos such as “Come If Me”, “Did This In No Time” and “Back In Time.” More is yet to come from this superstar.
