Airlock Overview

The selector’s choice for the Airlock Riddim came together in a lively studio session. Producers and artists worked closely, building a sound that brought real street energy to dancehall. The sound engineer played a big part, guiding the creative direction and making sure each track had a strong, clean mix. This helped the riddim stand out during dancehall sessions in 2017. BLAXSMITH ENTERTAINMENT produced the Airlock Riddim. The label is known in the dancehall world for its solid productions and support of upcoming talent. Over the years, BLAXSMITH ENTERTAINMENT has helped launch several artists and riddims that have made an impact in Jamaican music. On this project, each artist added their own style. D'Koncep delivered “Good Suh,” a track that showed off his energetic flow. Don Mafia brought heat with “Hot Gyal Feature,” adding his signature rough voice to the riddim. K'Lyricist’s “Worries Inside This Club” gave the project a cool, club-ready vibe. Macka Diamond, a veteran in dancehall, performed “Chat Mi.” She is well known for her hit “Dye Dye,” which was a major success in Jamaica and helped her win Female DJ of the Year at the Stone Love Awards. Navino gave fans “Nah Guh Like We,” adding his distinct sound to the mix. Radijah’s “Higher” also stood out, bringing a different energy. The selector’s mix of these tracks was a highlight at bashment parties in 2017, giving dancehall fans a fresh and exciting experience.
