Abstract Riddim (2017) – Westpoint Entertainment

Westpoint Entertainment keeps this one lean and direct, a three-track soca set that feels more like a quick strike than a sprawling carnival package. Released in 2017, Abstract Riddim lines up J Xavier HD, Runi Jay and Winboy in a tight circle, with “Highly Determined” opening the run, “Independent Enough” sitting in the middle and “Party Lies” closing things out. That sequencing gives the project a neat little arc, moving from resolve to self-assurance before ending on something a touch sharper and more social. J. Xavier HD’s opener carries the strongest sense of purpose, while Winboy and Runi Jay keep the mood in that mid-tempo fete zone Westpoint knew how to handle. The whole thing is short, clean and deliberate, with no wasted space between the songs.
