7 Series Riddim – Dynasty Records

Gappy Ranks is the one who grabs the ear first on 7 Series Riddim, his “Buss Mi Gun” sitting right at the center of Dynasty Records’ 2015 four-song vocal set and giving the project its hardest edge. Bobby Hustle’s “Stand Guard” has a militant, forward-driving pull too, while Turbulence and Zagga keep the energy on the conscious side with “Not Afraid” and “Better Life, ” turning the whole thing into a compact slice of mid-2010s rootsy dancehall reggae.
