“305 Riddim” is a sharp little 2015 dancehall set from Bassick Records Ja, leaning into a brisk, punchy groove with enough snap for the dance while keeping the bass line front and center. The lineup does a nice job of splitting the mood: Ding Dong’s “Deh Wid Her” brings the party-charge energy, Ninjaman’s “Gangster Love” adds veteran grit, and Brewsie’s “Money Connect” and Naazir’s “Nuh Go So” keep the riddim in street-mode. Skillful’s “Haffi Roll” and Yung Jr’s “Crinoline” round it out with their own quick-fire takes, giving the project a compact, six-track feel instead of stretching the idea thin.
