Tru Bag Riddim arrived in 2020 from Hevs Records and Thin Paper, a Dancehall juggling built around eight tracks and nine different artists. The set brings together Assan Di Legend’s Over Come, Bareface’s Nuh Want Work in both clean and raw versions, Erok’s Green Orange, Leanny Frass’ She Want Up, Marv Up’s If We Make A Mill, and Shu Shu and Tropixx Surprize with 1 Link, while the instrumental closes things out under the Tru Bag Riddim name. It has a straightforward, street-facing feel, with the Bareface cut giving the release an extra push through its clean-and-raw pairing. Hevs Records continues to show up as a steady dancehall imprint, and Leanny Frass adds one of the more familiar voices on the project with She Want Up.
