Fire Side Riddim – Grammazone Music

There’s a gritty, late-night dancehall pulse running through Fire Side Riddim, the kind of raw, stuttering groove that leaves plenty of space for the lyrics to bite. Grammazone Music lines up nine cuts here, and the strongest moments come when voices like Turbulence and Chuck Fenda push against that rough-edged instrumental with the sort of stern, streetwise delivery the riddim seems to invite. Kibaki’s “Real Champion” sets the tone early, while T-Face and One Pong keep the energy hot without crowding the arrangement.
