One 2 One rides a brisk, bashment-heavy groove that feels aimed squarely at the dance, with six Spanish-language cuts keeping the energy tight and local. Kalanyi Weif’s “Long Time” and Tha Crazy Boys’ “No Toy” push the hardest, while Danny Negus’ “Dancehall Queen” gives the set a more seasoned, crowd-ready edge. The project sits comfortably alongside Rec Records’ earlier Panama dancehall work, but this one comes off leaner and more immediate, less about big crossover polish than about keeping the rhythm moving and the hooks memorable. El Charri and El Waka’s “Dile A Tu Man” adds one of the sharper vocal pairings on the juggling, and El Pleyer closes it out with a more flirtatious touch. It’s a compact 2015 release that fits neatly into Rec Records’ run of Panama-rooted dancehall compilations.
