100 Degrees Riddim – Control Tower Squad

Control Tower Squad’s 100 Degrees Riddim came through in 2015 with a lean, springy soca-to-dancehall pulse and a cast that gives it plenty of heat, but the sharpest turns are probably Popcaan’s “Bad Ah Yard, ” I-Octane’s “Wah Wi Dead, ” and Kalado’s “Missing You, ” each riding the groove a little differently. Quick Cook and ZJ Liquid’s “No Pretender” adds another angle, while Demarco’s “Celebrate My Life” keeps the energy moving without crowding the riddim’s bright, road-ready feel. The production is credited to Control Tower Squad throughout, and the set runs 14 tracks in total, including radio and raw versions for “Uncut Diamond, ” “Bad Ah Yard, ” and “Celebrate/Party Paradise, ” which gives the release that classic one-riddim package feel.
