A dusty, mid-tempo dancehall groove with a roadside swagger runs through Road Side Riddim, where HBA and Young Gamez Entertainment line up a spread of Zimbabwe-rooted cuts rather than chasing big-name crossover chatter. The sequence moves from Hba’s “No Breaking” and Cage’s “Break” into Gagamel’s title cut and Taflo Sanchez’s “Zimbabwe, ” with Mayor linking up with TLB on “Nezvako” for one of the set’s sharper pairings. The project keeps the focus on voices and local slang, and the closing instrumental tag tacks the riddim back onto the production credit instead of a separate dub section. Road Side Riddim was issued in 2014 and carries 12 tracks.
