Sandman Productions kept Green Lizard Riddim lean and to the point: just two cuts, both from 2012, both aimed squarely at the kind of Grenada soca pulse that lives on bounce and waistline movement. Hasty opens with “Rumbo, ” a fast, catchy jump-up tune, while Terror Kid’s “Bend Yuh Back And Wine” pushes the project into even more direct party territory with a title that tells you exactly how the rhythm wants to move. The pared-down lineup leaves no dead space, and that makes the contrast between the two voices easy to hear. If one track carries the sharper aftertaste, it’s Terror Kid’s, which locks onto the riddim’s motion and turns it into the release’s final, most immediate hook.
