Noba Riddim – Rumble Infini-T

The Noba riddim has that late-2000s roots session feel: warm, steady, and a little militant around the edges, with enough bass weight to keep it moving without rushing the groove. Rumble Infini-T lines it up with nine cuts and a nicely mixed cast, so the project leans conscious more than flashy, even when the songs come at it from different angles. Anthony B opens with “One Chalice” in strong form, Fyah George rides the herb talk on “High Grade, ” and Norris Man keeps the pressure on with “Them Give No Praises. ” The French-language “Comme Des Potes” from Ti Polo Sound gives the set some extra color, while Utan Bassum and Jaggy D stretch things further on “Higher Level. ” But the sharpest pull comes from Perfect’s “Too Smart, ” which lands right in the pocket and leaves the riddim with a clean final stamp.
