Flag Riddim – Black Scorpio

Flag Riddim came out in 1994 on Black Scorpio, produced by Maurice Johnson and issued through Quietland Music for the Black Scorpio Recording Studio. It’s a tight dancehall set with eight cuts, led by Mad Cobra’s Body Ready, Pinchers’ How Does It Feel, and Powerman’s Progressive Wife, with Hammer Mouth, Mega Banton, Richie Brown, and Saba Tooth also on board. The riddim sits squarely in Black Scorpio’s classic 90s run, and it closes with Maurice Johnson’s own version cut, a nice touch that underlines how central Jack Scorpio was to the sound.
