Zinc Fence Riddim (2012) – Deal Wid It Records

Bugle anchors Zinc Fence Riddim with “One Motion, ” and that’s the tune that gives the set its early lift, all taut dancehall pressure and quick-switch energy around a compact eight-track lineup. Deal Wid It Records keeps the rhythm moving with voices that each take a slightly different angle on the same canvas: Karamanti’s “This Mi A Do” has a sharper street edge, while Twin Of Twins come in with “Agressive Love” and lean into their usual cheeky tension. Zj Wahwa’s “Hammer General” with Ninja Kid adds a late jolt, and Khally’s cut with Lenny Jay gives the project a little extra bounce. It’s a 2012 release, but the sound still feels fresh enough to catch you off guard, especially in the way the tracks keep snapping back to that zinc-fence pulse.
