Z 2010 Overview

The Z 2010 Riddim came from the creative minds at MASTERMIND, a label known for its sharp dancehall productions. MASTERMIND, led by the producer of the same name, helped shape the sound of late 1990s dancehall. The label’s work has been recognized for its crisp, club-ready style and has influenced many selectors and DJs in Jamaica and abroad. On the Z 2010 Riddim, five artists stood out. Buju Banton delivered “Naw Done,” bringing his signature deep voice and commanding presence. Buju is a Grammy-winning artist, known for his classic album “’Til Shiloh” and many global hits. General Degree added energy with “Plummy Mummy.” He is famous for his hit “Traffic Blocking,” which topped dancehall charts in the late 1990s. Ghost brought smooth vocals to “Keep It Alive,” adding a melodic touch. Mega Banton’s “How War Fi Done” stood out with his powerful delivery; Mega Banton is well-known for his early hit “Sound Boy Killing.” Zumjay rounded out the release with “Madness,” a track that showed his lyrical skills.
