Your Time Riddim – U.M.G Records

Down in the 2013 dancehall trenches, Your Time Riddim catches a lean little moment from U. M. G Records, with just three vocal cuts and the raw instrumental sitting beside them. Hexplosion’s “Weed Baby” has the loosest grip on the riddim, while Paradax’s “Like It” and Thesarus’ “Out Skirts” ride it with a sharper, more streetwise edge, which makes the contrast easy to hear. U. M. G keeps the session tight rather than crowded, and that economy gives the whole thing a little club-pressure feel, all bass and forward motion without much excess. The instrumental, credited here to M. G Records, hangs around like a final nod at the bottom of the set, almost as if the producer wanted the rhythm itself to have the last word.
