Yemisi Riddim is a 2015 Oneness Records release that brought together a strong international roots line-up, with cuts from J Boog and Irie Love, Macka B, Sara Lugo and Lutan Fyah, House of Shem, Richie Campbell, New Kingston, Naptali and more. Oneness Records, the German label behind a string of 70s and 80s-inspired one-drop projects, gave the riddim a smoother, softer feel than some of its more militant previous sets, with ethereal flute touches and a warm bass line that leans into a mellow, soulful groove. Among the key tracks, They Know Not Love, More Than Air, Been So Long, and Jah Love help define the release’s mood, while the closing Yemisi Riddim Version ties it all together with a clean instrumental finish.
