Yellow Moon Records’ Wul Dem Again And Again Riddim arrived in 2014 as a hard-edged dancehall juggling with a clear clash energy, extending the attack of the earlier Wul Dem series. The label is run by Katrina “DJ Sunshine” Irons, who has long been associated with sharp, radio-ready dancehall production through Yellow Moon and its catalogue of street-minded rhythms.

The set pulls in Aidonia, Deablo, Demarco, Iyara, Konshens, Ryme Minista, Stein and Tuff Krakaz, with 15 cuts in all counting the edit, raw and clean variations. It has the clipped, minimalist feel that lets the deejays do the damage: sparse bass pressure, tense forward motion and a moody, no-frills backdrop that sits close to the mic. Aidonia’s Lightening hits with immediate force, while Demarco’s Lime Chip, billed as a Konshens diss, became one of the release’s key talking points. Iyara’s Nuh Cross Ova, framed as an Alkaline diss, adds to that same combative atmosphere, and Konshens’ Flick gives the rhythm a direct response from the other side of the clash line.
