Out of the UK dancehall corner in mid-2021, Wonder Riddim lands as a compact four-track set from Reggae Selecta UK, with Shae Iconic_, Sotto Bless, Dilite and Koncern all tied into the same vocal run. The project has a lean, no-frills feel, but the songs still lean into different shades of the groove, from the braggy pull of “Boss Life” to the brighter, flirtier swing of “Cute and Pretty” and “Wine. ” Reggae Selecta UK had already been moving through the year with similar dancehall pieces, and this one sits neatly in that run, sharp-edged and streetwise without overcomplicating things, with “Value” slipping in as the quieter curveball.
