We Rule The Border Riddim - Harry J

We Rule The Border produced by Harry J for Harry J in 1986

1986’s We Rule The Border Riddim comes out of Harry J, with Harry “Big J” Johnson steering the production and just two cuts carrying the rhythm: Little John’s Wah Come Rule I and Teddy Irie’s title tune. It’s a lean dancehall set from the mid-80s, and the pairing keeps the focus on the groove rather than a crowded lineup. The riddim is also grouped with the Get A Lick family in some discographies, which fits its early digital-era feel and helps place it in the heavier, stripped-down side of Harry J’s catalogue.
