WAY YOU BUBBLE RIDDIM produced by DRAKES 1995
Way You Bubble Overview
In 1995, the Way You Bubble riddim was created in a lively studio session, bringing together top dancehall energy. The track builder wanted a rhythm that would light up dance floors and sound systems across Jamaica. The goal was to make a sound that was both sharp and full of fire, perfect for the bashment scene of the time. Producer DRAKES was behind the project, known for his work with street anthems and his influence on the dancehall sound of the mid-90s. DRAKES had already built a name for himself with his label’s releases, helping shape the direction of dancehall during that era. The riddim brought together a strong lineup of artists. Chuck Fender & Conroy Smith teamed up for "God Is My Witness," a song that showed their vocal power and message. Chuck Fender would later become known for conscious hits like "Gash Dem," but here he was already making his mark. Fx Boom delivered "Vegetarian," adding his unique style to the mix. Jigsy King performed "Way You Bubble," and by this time, he was recognized in the dancehall world, especially for his earlier hit "Gal A Tear Off Mi Garment." Little Hero’s "Poor People Suffering" brought heartfelt lyrics, and Little Hero would go on to release the acclaimed album "Revelation" in 2007. This 1995 drop quickly became a favorite in yard playlists, standing out with its crisp sound and strong performances.
