Wawan Riddim – Stadic Music

Back in Trinidad’s 2014 soca cycle, Wawan Riddim came through as a tight little two-track set from Stadic Music, more about mood than overload. Banco’s “Wine Go Down” leans into the waistline pressure with a direct, club-ready pull, while Valene Nedd’s “Nah Fight” brings a sharper, more playful counterpoint. The whole thing sits around that brisk 120 BPM sweet spot, which keeps it moving without rushing the groove. Compared with Stadic’s later 2015 work on Ancestry Riddim, this earlier cut feels leaner and less crowded, with the producer still testing how far a stripped-down soca idea can go.
