NOTNICE RECORDS is a well-known producer in dancehall music. The label, led by Ainsley “Notnice” Morris, has played a big role in shaping the sound of modern Jamaican music. NOTNICE RECORDS is famous for producing hits for top dancehall stars and has worked closely with Vybz Kartel. The label’s productions are known for their catchy rhythms and strong influence on the dancehall scene. ADIDJAHIEM, connected to Vybz Kartel, helped push this style even further. In 2010, the Water Cycle Riddim became a favorite on dancehall playlists across Jamaica. The release brought together three key artists: Jah Vinci, Popcaan, and Vybz Kartel. Each artist added their own style to the riddim. Jah Vinci’s “Dont Sky Lark” stood out with its smooth vocals and positive energy. Popcaan, who was rising in the dancehall world at the time, delivered “No Fear When We Walk.” Popcaan later became known for his big hit “Only Man She Want,” which helped him reach international charts. Vybz Kartel, a major figure in dancehall, contributed three songs: “Need U So Bad,” “One Woman,” and “How.” Kartel’s influence in dancehall is huge, and he is known for his album “King of the Dancehall” and many chart-topping singles.
