War Bashment Riddim – Stashment Productions

War Bashment came out sounding more like Stashment Productions leaning into raw clash energy than the cleaner, radio-friendly side of dancehall that many 2011 riddims were chasing. Released on November 4, 2011, the set runs ten cuts and keeps the tension high with Merciless’ “War Head Attack, ” Kiprich’s “Grand Papa, ” and the Twin Of Twins pairing of “Bwoy” in both clean and raw versions. Stashment was still a relatively young label at the time, but by then the name was already getting linked with a string of hard-edged dancehall projects. The sequencing tells its own story: after the vocal tracks, the producer drops the instrumental at the end, then closes with Zamunda’s “Tell Dutty Heart Low Mi, ” letting the riddim’s tougher side linger rather than wrapping it up neatly.
