VOODOO RIDDIM produced by YARD VYBZ ENTERTAINMENT 2011
Voodoo Overview
The Voodoo Riddim project started with a vision in the studio. The creative team wanted a sound that would move people and keep parties alive. Their studio hand guided the direction, making sure each beat and melody had energy and style. The producer, YARD VYBZ ENTERTAINMENT, is known for shaping dancehall music in Jamaica. Over the years, the label has worked with many big names and has helped bring dancehall to new fans around the world. This collection brought together some of the most exciting voices at the time. Bling Dawg delivered “No Change,” showing his steady style. Delus, who is remembered for his hit “What Tomorrow May Bring,” gave listeners “Silent River,” adding a deep, thoughtful touch. Money Gaad brought his own flavor with “Gaad Ah Di Mint.” Mr Lexx, famous for his song “Full Hundred” and his strong presence in the early 2000s, added “Hater Roll” to the mix. Patexxx showed his skills on “When Dis Start,” keeping the energy high. The riddim also featured Sizzla with “Run Dem,” the instrumental “Voodoo Riddim,” and Wayne Marshall’s “No Bwoy.” Each track reflected the lively spirit of yard music in 2011. DJs played these songs non-stop, and the collection quickly became a favorite in dancehall circles.
