Vitality Riddim – Reality Shock

Four cuts and three names at the mic make Vitality Riddim feel more like a tight showcase than a sprawling compilation, with Marga, Tippa Irie and Solo Banton all working the same foundation for Reality Shock. The opening “Vitality Medley” folds the three voices into one cut, then the Upper Cut Band splits them out for “Give Praises, ” “Certain Things” and “Where I Belong, ” so you get both the collective statement and the individual takes. It’s a 2016 reggae release, and the sequencing makes the producer’s intent plain: lead with the shared energy, then let each vocalist answer the riddim in turn.
