Visa Riddim – Andy’s Muzik Production

Andy’s Muzik Production’s Visa Riddim landed in 2015 as a 13-track dancehall project with a clear roots-and-conscious feel, opening with Allo Star’s Mama (Never Give Up), Billy Wonder’s Number One Mother, and David Archer’s One Day At a Time before moving through songs from Dugs, Elegant, Iya Champs, Iyah, Logical, Neilo, Ras Tallawah, and Zephy. The instrumental is included too, and the release runs just about 45 minutes, which gives it a compact, straight-to-the-point flow. Andy’s Muzik Production has also turned up on a handful of other riddim projects, and here the title track Visa (Fly Away) sits among the more memorable cuts on a lineup that leans on reflection, survival, and everyday struggle.
