Unsolved Mystery Riddim (2011) – Magician Records

Magician Records’ Unsolved Mystery Riddim came out in the early-2010s dancehall wave that kept the gears turning with lean, DJ-friendly juggling and a straight-ahead, high-energy feel. This one pulls in a mixed cast of voices — Determine alongside Baby Chris, Differense with Badda Bull, Tajji with Frenz For Real Team, plus cuts from Krazzy J, Nahswitch and Nazine — and the variety helps the riddim move with enough pressure to keep each tune sounding distinct. The title track’s sleek, futuristic edge sits closer to the sharper end of dancehall than the loose party side, which is probably why it later got revisited in 2023.
