Unleashed Riddim comes across less like a big-star dancehall showcase and more like a compact 2005 juggling built for quick turnover, with just three vocal cuts and an instrumental tucked in at the end. The lineup is lean: Ashley’s “Wining, ” Mr Peter’s “Positive Vibes, ” and Sauve’s “Love D Trini Carnival, ” which already hints at a harder Caribbean party edge rather than straight Jamaican gunman business. There’s a Trini flavour in the subject matter, and the production keeps that regional heat in view with a stripped, punchy dancehall framework that leaves plenty of space for the deejays to ride the rhythm. That instrumental closing track is the tell, really: a dry, utilitarian riddim with a steady mid-tempo pulse, chunky bass, and a pattern that stays tight enough for the vocals to do the lifting.
