Universal Tribulation Riddim – Heartical And Bdf

Heartical and BDF’s Universal Tribulation Riddim arrived in 2020 as a tribute to Gregory Isaacs and his African Museum era, with a roots-heavy set of 13 vocals plus a dub cut at the end. Macka B leads things with Humble We Humble, while General Levy, Daweh Congo and Sun I Tafari add some of the most memorable turns on Twists and Turns, Ghetto Living and Universal Tribulation. The project was produced by Heartical Sound and Label and BDF, with Basque Dub Foundation handling the riddim and James Zugasti on the mix, giving the release a polished digital-root sound that still nods to classic reggae tradition.
