Straight out of the 2014 dancehall wave, Unity Flex Riddim from Push Hitz Records has that compact, no-frills energy that was moving around the scene at the time, with 11 cuts and no wasted space. Teflon’s “Bun Dem Up” gives the set an early jolt, and Mega C pops up twice, especially on “I’m Shining” and the Shareal Starr link-up “Potential, ” where the cadence feels a little more open and melodic against the tougher rhythms. Elsewhere, Excel Black’s “Panic” and Reel Steel’s “The System” keep the focus on street talk and pressure, while Tata Black closes things out with “Give Thanks” like a quiet afterthought.
