UNIDAD RIDDIM produced by REY JAHB STUDIO 2013
Unidad Overview
In 2013, a new roots reggae riddim began its journey in the studio. The riddim was built for unity and strength, giving singers and deejays a solid foundation to share their messages. The roots selector played a key role, guiding the sound and keeping the energy true to classic reggae while allowing space for fresh voices. At the heart of this project was REY JAHB STUDIO, a respected producer and creative force in the reggae scene. Known for blending traditional reggae with modern touches, REY JAHB STUDIO had already gained attention for earlier releases and collaborations across Europe. Their approach brought together different artists, each adding their unique style to the riddim. The lineup featured a mix of voices, each with a distinct message. Yuanan delivered “lucha,” a track that stands out for its powerful call for perseverance. Charly Roots followed with “juicio final,” bringing depth and a rootsy feel. Jah Bantu’s “dicen que es democracia” tackled social themes, reflecting reggae’s tradition of conscious lyrics. Jah Nattoh, already known for his album “Todo O Nada,” contributed “le pido al mundo,” showing his continued growth as an artist. Wanche offered “gracias madre,” a heartfelt tribute that added warmth to the collection. From creation to release, this dub project became proof of reggae’s strength in 2013. Each artist’s voice, guided by the roots selector and REY JAHB STUDIO’s vision, helped turn the riddim into a celebration of unity and message.
