Trust Talk Riddim – Dreamension Music

Dreamension Music’s Trust Talk Riddim landed in 2023 with Warpath at the helm and a roster that reads like a slice of Italy’s current reggae-dancehall underground. The release draws on a sharp, chant-ready digital pulse: short cuts, tough drums, clipped bass, and enough empty space in the arrangement for deejays to ride the pocket without crowding the riddim. It feels aimed at sound system use first, with an instrumental tucked in to underline that juggling logic.

The strongest pulls come from the variety in the voices. Gaiser’s To. Lo Talk sets the tone with a streetwise, patois-heavy delivery, while Simon GS on A Sangu! brings a more animated, catchphrase-driven energy. LuMarra’s Trip Advisor and Mattune’s Forward keep the pressure moving with direct, talkative hooks, and Minime’s Sine, featuring Skaten, adds a slightly different texture through the guest spot. Fido Guido is a familiar name in Italian reggae, known for decades of dialect-rooted work out of Taranto, and his Statt’ Buene sits naturally in that lineage. Flavio Ghetto Eden and Khadim Ghetto Eden add more of the same regional flavor, while Mako OTB, Terequeya, Maddawg, Lu Dottore, Bindolo, and the Warpath, Efno and Blakk Jah combination help fill out a juggling that never feels repetitive.

Warpath has described this as his first dancehall production, and that ambition shows in how the riddim keeps moving without losing its edge. It is a regional project, but it carries itself like something made for selectors, not just local playlists.
