Tribal War Riddim (2004) – Forward Recordings

Already in 2004, Forward Recordings kept this one lean and purposeful: just two vocal cuts and a version, with Luciano taking the title track and Mikey General riding “Jah Flow” on the same Tribal War rhythm. Luciano’s cut carries the weight here, in that sober, militant style he was known for in the period, while Mikey General adds a lighter devotional angle without breaking the mood. It’s a small set, but that’s part of the point. With only three tracks in total, the producer lets the riddim speak plainly and keeps the sequencing tight, moving from Luciano’s statement to Mikey General’s answer before closing on the raw version.
