TOP UP RIDDIM produced by REBELS’TONE MUZIK LAB 2013
Top Up Overview
In early 2013, a fresh bashment release landed in the dancehall scene, coming straight from Jamaica’s vibrant music streets. This project stood out for mixing tough deejay tracks with smooth, catchy vocals, making it a favorite in both parties and sound system clashes. Leading the charge, Fire Flame dropped two standout tracks: “Creation” and “Shoot Dem Dead.” Fire Flame is no stranger to the dancehall world, known for his energetic delivery and past collaborations with local producers. Demolition’s “Hot Gals Mi Prefer” brought a playful, crowd-pleasing vibe, while Mega Jani’s “See Di Eden” showed off a more melodic side. Mega Jani, especially, has been recognized for his unique voice and previous work on the popular “Gully Creeper” riddim. Kojilove added a rootsy flavor with “Nah Better Dan Yard,” reminding listeners of the importance of home and heritage. Red Lion Aka Redda Fella’s “Wicked N Bad” kept the energy high, with his signature gruff style. Each artist contributed something different, making the release feel well-rounded and exciting. The riddim itself came from REBELS’TONE MUZIK LAB, a producer and label known for blending modern trap sounds with classic dancehall rhythms. REBELS’TONE MUZIK LAB has earned praise for their work on the “Rebel Street” series, which has racked up thousands of streams online. Looking back, this bashment release was a real street anthem in 2013. It kept the dancehall spirit alive and gave fans something fresh to enjoy on every sound system.
