S. O. A. P’s Thirst Riddim comes off like a tight little 2015 dancehall package rather than some sprawling juggernaut, with just four cuts and a version tucked in behind the songs. Ward 21’s “Weight Is A Heavy Load” is the one that grabs first, carrying that hard-headed, pressure-packed energy the crew does so well, while Tritha’s “Chanda Mama” pulls a more melodic, slightly playful thread through the same framework. Abbba Mc’s “Pas Bidon” keeps the vibe moving with a rougher, more direct approach, and the O. A. P version leaves the riddim exposed in a way that makes the whole thing easier to hear in the mix. S. O. A. P, also known as Son Of A Pitch, was already running his Audiolingus setup in Paris by then, and this one sits neatly in that early stretch of his catalog.
